Is Cristian Gamboa going to get a chance for Celtic on Sunday?

Speaking to Sky Sports, Brendan Rodgers confirmed on Friday that Celtic pair Mikael Lustig and Nir Bitton are injury doubts for Sunday’s League Cup final with Motherwell at Hampden Park.
Lustig was hooked off in the first half of Wednesday’s 7-1 defeat in Paris with a dead leg, while Bitton, who replaced the Swede at right-back, is suffering the effects of a “slight knock” says Rodgers.
With the Northern Irishman short on right-back options, could he turn to Cristian Gamboa?

The Costa Rica defender, a £1m signing by Rodgers in 2016, has made only one appearance this season – a 1-0 win over Dundee last month and Celtic fans praised his performance afterwards.
Losing Lustig is a big blow but Gamboa played 180 minutes for his country against Spain and Hungary during the international break so he isn’t short on match fitness at least.

He hasn’t had a huge part to play since joining from West Brom 18 months ago, but he could well find himself starting for Celtic in a cup final and you hope for his sake that he makes the most of it.
