After their midweek 2-0 home defeat to Fulham, Bristol City manager Lee Johnson is a man under pressure, with the Robins just two points above the relegation drop zone and in abysmal form.
Since November, they’ve played 17 league matches, won just two, drawn two, and lost a whopping 13, meaning Bristol City have taken just eight points from a possible 51.
The one saving grace in their shambolic run has been the form of on loan Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham, who has performed out of his skin at Ashton Gate, to the point where he’ll surely be considered for first team action upon his Stamford Bridge return.
Abraham is just 19, yet has scored an incredible 18 goals in 31 Championship appearances, singlehandedly keeping the club out of the relegation zone.

However, Abraham picked up a thigh injury in the Robins’ recent 2-1 defeat to Leeds United, ruling him out for two to three weeks – at a time where City have two massive games against fellow strugglers Burton Albion and Aston Villa.
By the time Abraham returns, it’s possible that the Bristol City board may have sacked Johnson – who has lost the support of Robins fans – as a final roll of the dice to save their season.
Alternatively, Bristol City may choose to stick, rather than twist, yet going by the form book, that would be a costly error that will see the Robins return to League One.
