Speaking on the Indirect Podcast, Tyler Adams has been discussing his return to action for Leeds United after the World Cup.
Adams, of course, played plenty of football for the USA over in Qatar, and, as Phil Hay revealed on his Podcast, he’s not been in full training this week.
Adams’ absence has led to many contemplating when he’ll be back in action for the Yorkshire club.
The midfielder has now shared when he’ll be back to work, stating that he won’t play for Leeds on Boxing Day against Man City due to his suspension issues, but he does say that he’ll be back for next week’s game against Newcastle.

Adams back for Newcastle
The midfielder spoke about his return to action.
“Everyone is sharp and everyone is ready to go obviously those guys haven’t played as many games at the World Cup as we have. They’re itching to get started again. I’m suspended for the next game against Man City, but I will be playing next Saturday against Newcastle,” Adams said.
Hard landing
Adams is coming off the back of a gruelling World Cup campaign, and he won’t be getting a soft landing upon his return to Premier League action.
Indeed, facing off against Newcastle United’s midfield is one of the most daunting tasks Adams could be facing right now.
The Magpies have been one of the best teams in England this season, while Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton have the ability to dominate any midfield battle.
Adams may well be excited to get back to wit with Leeds United, but that excitement may soon fade once he gets to grips with the task of trying to get the better of this Newcastle team.
