Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrice Muamba has been discussing the Champions League draw and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds had a peach of a draw first time around. They were pitted against RB Salzburg in the initial draw, and, with all due respect to Salzburg, that’s arguably the easiest tie they could have been given.
Indeed, while Salzburg are a good side, the Austrian Bundesliga isn’t quite at the standard of the top-five European leagues, and Liverpool would have had a great chance of overcoming Salzburg,
However, due to an error in the draw, Liverpool won’t be facing Salzburg, they will instead be coming up against Inter Milan.
Inter are three-time European champions and they’re the reigning Serie A winners, so, it’s fair to say that this is something of a tougher tie.
Muamba reckons that Klopp will not be happy about this tie.
What’s been said about Klopp?
Muamba speculated about how Klopp will be feeling after Monday’s draw,.
“Do I think Klopp will be angry about the redraw? Of course he will be angry! You would be angry, you would feel like ‘well, we had the better chance’. But now that this has happened, of course he will be upset. He will be upset,” Muamba said.

Got to beat the best
As Ric Flair once said ‘to be the man, you’ve got to beat the man’, and if Liverpool want to be the European champions, they’ll have to play the best teams eventually.
Of course, they would probably rather have faced Salzburg at this point rather than Inter, but in the grand scheme of things, it shouldn’t matter too much.
In the entire history of the European Cup, no side has been able to win the competition by virtue of easy or lucky draws, and while Salzburg would have given the Reds a simpler path to the Quarter-finals, a game against Inter may allow them to prepare for the latter stages of this competition.
Muamba reckons Klopp may be angry, but we think he may well be relishing this challenge.
