Everton want to reunite Ezri Konsa with former Charlton Athletic starlet Ademola Lookman in January.

By the time January rolls around, Ademola Lookman will have spent 12 months at Everton. An £11 million signing from Charlton Athletic in the January transfer window according to the BBC, the highly-rated winger could hardly have made a better start to life in the Premier League, scoring a matter of moments into his debut in a 4-0 thrashing of Manchester City at Goodison Park.
Since that perfect beginning, however, Lookman has not really managed to kick on with the recently departed manager Ronald Koeman seemingly unconvinced by his potential.
The 20-year-old has made just three Premier League appearances all season, totalling just 97 minutes – and this is despite a lack of quality in wide areas hampering Everton’s toothless, at-times predictable attack in 2017/18.

The latest fresh-faced starlet to emerge from Charlton’s youth academy should perhaps take time to consider his options with ESPN reporting that Everton are planning to bring him to Goodison Park from The Valley in the New Year.
The report claims that Charlton are resigned to losing Konsa, a 19-year-old centre-half/defensive midfielder who won the club’s Young Player of the Year award last season, in January.

It’s understood that Arsenal are keen but, with Everton putting in place a transfer policy revolving around signing some of England’s brightest young stars, it makes sense that Konsa, who won the Under-20 World Cup with England this summer, would be one of the first targets on their hitlist.
But with Lookman struggling to earn a place in Everton’s starting XI, should Konsa consider the possibility that it is a little too soon to make that big step from League One to arguably Europe’s most competitive top flight?
