The Everton teenager has the talent to take Goodison Park by storm next season.

Everton have been busy this summer bringing in a host of talented new players, but could one they already had on their books prove to be the headline-name come the end of the season?

Ademola Lookman only arrived at Goodison Park in January, signing for the Toffees from Charlton Athletic, and while he scored on his debut in a 4-0 victory against Manchester City he was on the periphery for the rest of the campaign.

After showing glimpses of his undeniable talent last season, Lookman proved to be one of the main men as England’s next generation won the U20 World Cup, and he is expected to make a considerable mark next time out.

The 19-year-old will have watched with interest as Everton signed player after player, with Sandro Ramirez, Davy Klaassen and Wayne Rooney all bought to add more goal threat following the departure of Romelu Lukaku, while Gylfi Sigurdsson could follow in due course.

That said, Everton boss Ronald Koeman will know just what a talent Lookman is and he will be planning on using him plenty over the next campaign.

If the teenager plays as he did for the young Three Lions this summer, he could outshine the more established names who have been brought to the club and that will certainly be his plan.

England’s various successes at different age groups in recent weeks has seen calls for the next generation to be given more chances at domestic level, and Everton are one of the best in that regard.

Lookman has the stage on which to shine, and if he does, he could be the Toffees player everyone is talking about come May.
