Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend believes teammate Wilfried Zaha is fully focused on playing for Crystal Palace.

Andros Townsend believes Crystal Palace team-mate Wilfried Zaha is now fully committed to playing for the club once again, after a transfer window which saw him linked with a move away, as reported by the Mirror.
Zaha was reportedly the subject of a £12 million bid from fellow Premier League outfit Tottenham during the summer transfer window – a bid that was swiftly rejected by English winger’s current club.
Now, with Zaha having started the season for The Eagles in impressive form, fellow winger Townsend believes the player is once again fully committed to giving his all for the club.
“The window has closed now and all the uncertainty surrounding players has gone,” Townsend was quoted as saying in The Mirror. “Wilfried can settle down and do what he did today.

“Wilf is a good lad. Now the window is closed he is fully focused on giving us the best season that he can and if he puts in more performances like that I am sure we will be all right.”
Both Zaha and Townsend helped Crystal Palace to their first win of the season against Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon – a victory which was just the club’s third of 2016.
When quizzed on the team’s recent poor form, however, Townsend was again quick to dismiss any suggestions that the players were suffering due to poor morale.
“We wanted to win to get our season up and running,” he continued. “But it wasn’t because we were looking for the first win in 20 we wanted the first win in four.

“We knew when we signed Christian [Benteke] that if we got balls into the box he would score goals and that’s what happened.”
Both Townsend and new striker Christian Benteke joined The Eagles over the summer transfer period, with Townsend signing from Newcastle in a £13 million deal from relegated Newcastle, whilst Benteke joined in a club-record £27 million deal from Liverpool.
Palace will be hoping to continue in their winning ways at Selhurst Park against Stoke on Sunday – who currently find themselves bottom of the table after their first four games.
