Tottenham were in talks this summer to sign Wilfried Kanga on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Sun reported that Spurs had offered a contract to the 18-year-old, whose deal at PSG had finished this summer.
The talented striker, who has represented the Ivory Coast at youth level, has impressed in the PSG youth teams and Spurs were right to take an interest.

But in the end he decided to reject the overtures of England, signing a new deal at PSG and heading out on loan to Paris-based US Creteil-Lusitanos of the French third-tier.
Speaking about that decision this weekend Kanga told Le Parisien:
“With my family and agents, we quickly decided this was the best choice.
“I wanted to stay in Paris, to be close to my family.
“Creteil is a good club and I knew the route of the coach, he has a great knowledge of football. It is also the PSG sector.”
Kanga is no doubt a talented option and has been compared in some circles to Chelsea legend Didier Drogba – so there is no surprise that Spurs wanted to bring him in this summer.
A move to Spurs would have undoubtedly been good for the player, as the club has fantastic youth resources.
But home comforts appear to mean a lot to Kanga and he will be hoping to become a star in Paris.
