Blackman moved to Sheffield United on a season-long loan from Chelsea last summer.

Sheffield United will consider a permanent move for Chelsea’s Jamal Blackman – although any final decision will not be made until the end of the season, according to Blades boss Chris Wilder.
Goalkeeper Blackman has impressed since seizing back his place from Simon Moore at the start of February, and had United fans clamouring for his return on a full-time basis after Tuesday’s 2-0 win against Burton Albion.
But while plans for next season are set to commence, Wilder has suggested to BBC Radio Sheffield that no efforts have yet been made to extend the stays of either Blackman or the on-loan Manchester United striker, James Wilson.

“We’ve not looked down the line in terms of permanent (deals) for any of the loan signings,” said the 50-year-old. “Jamal’s doing great and we’ve just said we’ll assess it at the end of the season.
“What happens next year, there’s still things going on now, we’re trying to start the ball rolling, and obviously Jamal will come under that consideration with hopefully the big end to the season that he has.
“I’m sure if you ask him he’s enjoyed it and he still is enjoying it.”

Blackman has played 28 times since his July move to Sheffield United, following loan spells at Middlesbrough, Ostersunds FK and Wycombe Wanderers.
The Chelsea academy product has yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues, however, although he did sign a new four-year contract upon his departure for Bramall Lane.
