A number of Wigan Athletic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the news that the Everton loanee is set to be out until the new year.

A number of Wigan fans have taken to Twitter to react after Paul Cook suggested, in comments by the Liverpool Echo, that Everton loanee Antonee Robinson is likely to be out for the next 10 weeks.
The Toffees youngster has been on loan with the Latics since the summer, making 15 appearances in the Championship. But it appears that he will not make another for a while.
The 21-year-old sustained an ankle injury on international duty that ruled him out of the friendly with England at Wembley. And Cook has now suggested that Wigan now want a new left-back in January with Robinson likely to be sidelined for a significant period.

“We do have a genuine need for a left back come January and that’s something we’re already looking at.”
Interestingly, the Wigan supporters do not appear to be overly disappointed with the news. Robinson has looked lively during his time at the DW Stadium, but it appears that some are unconvinced.

One supporter has been incredibly critical of Robinson’s form. And while some have asked for a move for free agent Ashley Cole following his release from LA Galaxy, another name has also been mentioned a couple of times.
At Robinson’s parent club, Leighton Baines is struggling for game-time, and some Wigan fans have suggested that Cook asks Everton if they could bring him back more than 11 years after his departure.
Here is the best of the reaction to Cook’s comments on Robinson…
