Everton loanee Antonee Robinson continues to impress out on loan in the Championship.
Antonee Robinson may still be awaiting the chance to make his Everton debut, but he is certainly doing all he can currently to stake a claim to his parent club ahead of his return to Goodison Park next summer.
Robinson joined Wigan Athletic on loan in the window and has taken no time establishing himself as the Latics’ first-choice left-back. And the newly-promoted side are doing an excellent job of catching many in the second tier by surprise.
Paul Cook’s men will go into the international break inside the top 10 in the Championship, four points off top spot, after they beat Rotherham United 1-0 at the DW Stadium on Saturday.
James Vaughan scored Wigan’s goal, but Robinson was one player who certainly impressed the supporters with his display for the home side, creating plenty of problems down the left wing along with fellow summer signing Josh Windass.
And when Robinson took to social media to express his delight at securing the three points, his tweet prompted a number of Wigan fans to laud his display in the narrow win.
One fan even suggested that he wants to see Wigan attempt to sign the Everton-owned signed on a permanent basis due to the start that the Toffees youngster has made to life on loan.
