Tottenham Hotspur raided Wigan Athletic once over the summer to sign Alfie Devine, luring the teenage midfielder to North London.

They pounced to ultimately take advantage of Wigan’s financial demise, with the Latics unable to reject a paltry sum for their talented youngster.

A number of other clubs swooped in to take Wigan talents, with Jensen Weir heading to Brighton and Joe Gelhardt joining Leeds United.

Now, it seems that Tottenham are lurking once again, this time with striker Kyle Joseph in their sights according to The Sun.

Joseph, 19, was the subject of a £150,000 bid from Spurs over the summer, but Joseph turned down the move to stay at Wigan.

The Scotland youth international has hit four goals in 11 League One games this season, showing huge potential early into his professional career.

Spurs may see Joseph as a real talent for the future, but Wigan fans are urging Joseph to snub them again, as he would ‘ruin his career’ with a switch to Tottenham.

Some accused Tottenham of being vultures and having no shame as they look to pick off Wigan’s top prospects in their time of need, and would at least want Spurs to pay a proper fee if they’re to sign the teenager.
