Well, Liverpool are certainly going to make a fist of finishing in the Champions League places after demonstrating their appetite with a 4-2 win away to Manchester United tonight.
Jurgen Klopp’s side moved fifth in the Premier League table with a brilliant performance away to their old rivals.
As a result, Liverpool are now only four points behind fourth-placed Chelsea and with a game in hand, the run-in looks very tasty.
Fans of the Anfield club endured an anxious last 20 minutes after Marcus Rashford reduced the deficit to one.
There was huge emotional investment on the Reds seeing out the win – not only from the players or the fans, but also from the wives of some Liverpool stars.
Here’s how the wife of Fabinho reacted to the win on Twitter:
Fabinho, a £43 million addition in 2018, has been one of Liverpool’s best and most reliable players this season.
But he has had better performances than his showing tonight, it has to be said.
Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring for United in the first half with a clever outside-of-the-boot effort that was turned into his own goal by Nat Phillips.
But the big Brazilian midfielder was guilty of being too easily fooled by the Red Devils’ playmaker just before that.
Still, there’s no great inquest needed on Fabinho’s defending for that goal because of the victory, which is all that matters.
Liverpool’s final three games are away to West Brom and Burnley, before hosting Crystal Palace at Anfield.
Chelsea’s final two are home to Leicester City – who also need a win to improve their top-four hopes – and then away to Aston Villa on the final day of the season.
