Lee Dixon has shared what David Seaman has told him about Aaron Ramsdale in Arsenal training.
The Highbury legend shared that Seaman told him that Ramsdale’s footwork has ‘widened his eyes’ and he’s so quick that it’s like a ‘blur’, as he told the All to Play For Podcast.
Ramsdale has only been at the Emirates for a few months, but it seems as though he is already a fan favourite with the supporters.
It helps when you are pulling off saves like the one he did against Leicester City and from James Maddison’s free-kick last week.
But the big-money summer signing is providing more than that and it includes his character out on that pitch.
It seems as though all of that is stemming from how what he is like in training on a daily basis, as Dixon shared an insight.
“Dave Seaman, my best mate, he’s going in, at the moment,” said Dixon. “He is doing some work with the young goalkeepers at Arsenal.
“He has been invited in to look at the kids. He has been there a few times now and has had chats with him (Ramsdale).
“And he said ‘really impressive character’. He said that he’s been watching some of his training and he said ‘some of his ladder work and feet work, he can’t even see his feet. It’s just a blur’.
“He said ‘the actual footwork they are doing in training has widened his eyes’, so I think he is a hugely impressive character.”

Last summer, Arsenal sold Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa and, by the end of the last campaign, it looked like a massive mistake.
One of the reasons is because Martinez helped Villa secure 15 clean sheets last season and then he went on to win the Copa America.
Then there was the indifferent form of Bernd Leno and the initial rumours that Ramsdale was going to brought in was met with a mixed reaction.
But fast forward to today and Ramsdale is now one of the in-form keepers in the Premier League and proving his worth to a lot of doubters.
