Speaking on his YouTube channel, Express journalist, Ryan Taylor has been discussing Djed Spence and Tottenham’s interest in the ‘fantastic’ 21-year-old.
The wing-back has been the subject of plenty of speculation this summer, and it seems as though Spurs will be in for the defender in the coming days.
According to Taylor, Tottenham will bid for the youngster, and he states that this is a transfer that has been widely approved by the higher-ups within the club.

Taylor spoke about Spence and Tottenham.
“Yeah, I do expect Tottenham now to make a bid for Spence, I know I sound like a broken record on that front, but It really is a deal that has been widely approved by the hierarchy at Tottenham. Spence is young, he’s English, he ticks that home-grown quota box, he also plays at right-wing-back, which is of huge benefit for Conte who plays that 3-4-3 system and he has huge potential,” Taylor said.

It sounds as though this is a transfer that everyone within Tottenham is in agreement on.
There are so many moving parts within Tottenham’s recruitment strategy, from Daniel Levy to Fabio Paratici to Antonio Conte, but the fact that this move has been widely approved seems to suggest that it will get over the line.
Tottenham have been tracking Spence for some time, and to be honest, we can see why it ticks every box.
Spence is a good price, at around £20m, which will suit Levy. Paratici was reportedly impressed after scouting him earlier this year, and as a wing-back, he’ll fit Conte’s system like a glove.
This is a transfer that makes so much sense for Spurs.
