Aston Villa’s sacking of Roberto Di Matteo has led to some Wolves fans calling for the same action to be taken with Walter Zenga.
Wolves Manager Walter Zenga
Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have been on a rollercoaster journey so far this season. Inconsistency has been their speciality with odd results and many different players featuring in the starting XI. Their exuberant manager Walter Zenga has also been making the headlines, with his passion for the club shining through.
Unfortunately, some Wolves fans are already fed up with the way things have been going at the club. They have seen their Midlands rivals Aston Villa sack their manager for a poor run of results and decided the same fate is necessary for Zenga. To put it bluntly, that would be the biggest mistake Wolves could make at this stage of the season.
Fans of the Midlands club have always been known for being quite fickle over the years, and that is the case once again here.

Time is something that managers are rarely afforded these days when things are not going perfectly, and Zenga still needs that time to adapt to his surroundings and make the necessary changes to find his best side.
It would also set a horrible precedent for the new owners. If they go ahead with such a knee jerk reaction, they will think that is the way to deal with all managerial issues and the managerial merry-go-round will begin once again. It has already happened in the recent past following the sacking of Mick McCarthy, and stability is key for the Wanderers.
Plus things are not even that worrying. Sure some of the results to lesser clubs have been disappointing, but the club is still in a great position to further their progress and maybe even make a surge for the play-offs later in the campaign. The development of the team is not going to happen overnight, and Zenga needs time to prove that he is the man to lead them forward.
