With a good start under their belt, fans and management alike will be looking towards their fixtures in September as being very much winnable.

Whilst Barnsley have got off to a good start in their first season back in the Championship, Wolves should feel confident about their chances of securing the victory.

Three of the Tykes’ league wins this season have come at home, and as the games go on the true quality that the more established sides like Wolves possess will separate itself from sides who are simply carrying forward some momentum.
Newcastle – Away
After an indifferent first few games, the Magpies have started to find their footing in the second tier as Rafa Benitez has brought in a whole host of new talent. With such a hopeful transfer window, however, comes a certain level of expectation.

With Wolves also looking for a top six finish this season it’ll be a nervy affair at St James’ Park, and as they’ll be facing each other again in the cup just a few days later it’ll be interesting to see what teams they both put out. A draw wouldn’t be a great surprise and it would be an excellent point.
Brentford – Home
Following a successful first year back in the Championship whereby they reached the play-offs, Brentford have cooled off in the last twelve months and find themselves being tipped for a mid-table finish.

There’s also a history behind this match as Wolves were one of the teams that the Bees edged above to take 5th in 2015. With the depth of ability that the home side have, they should be expecting to take all three points.
Wigan – Away
Wigan have struggled to find their footing early on in the season, with some fans expecting more following their promotion from League One. When the two are compared, Wolves’ side are head and shoulders above the Latics and a confident away victory to really rubber stamp a solid month should be on the cards.
