The Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder has been previously linked with a switch to Liverpool.

Wolves ace Ruben Neves has been excellent this season, but unfortunately for Nuno Espirito Santo, the Portuguese’s fine work has not gone unnoticed.
According to the Sun, Liverpool have been tracking the midfielder since early last year, and with Jürgen Klopp’s side allegedly interested in signing him, it will surely be incredibly hard for Wolves to keep hold of the 21-year-old.
And there might now be even more of a problem for Wolves.
Neves was in scintillating form against the Reds in the FA Cup last night, helping his side to a 2-1 win over the prestigious opponents.
Klopp and co would surely have been mightily impressed with what they saw from Neves, and if they weren’t sure about his quality before last night, they most certainly will be now.
The Portugal international is still under contract with Nuno’s side until the summer of 2023, so Wolves still hold all of the cards, but the problem for them is that Liverpool possess the kind of financial firepower to get Neves, should they decide that’s what they want to do.

The former Porto midfielder has proven that he is one of the Premier League’s finest operators this season, and Wolves’ hopes of keeping hold of him will surely depend on whether or not they can match his ambition.
Liverpool got a first hand glimpse of what Neves is capable of last night, and now Nuno will surely be slightly concerned at the prospect of the Merseyside outfit raiding his club for the 21-year-old’s signature this month.
