Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are both priced up to potentially sign the 23-year-old.

Wolverhampton Wanderers' Helder Costa celebrates scoring their first goal

As Tottenham Hotspur proved with Dele Alli, there are bargains to be had if you look below the top flight of English football, and there is another talented youngster they should seriously consider signing before someone else gets there first.

According to bookmakers Ladbrokes, Tottenham are 10/1 sixth favourites to sign Helder Costa from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer, with their North London rivals Arsenal 2/1 favourites for his signature.

As if signing one of the Championship’s most exciting wingers was not enough, if Tottenham seal a deal they would seemingly thwart the Gunners in the process.

Arsenal have not made a habit of giving youth a chance in recent seasons; at least not compared with Tottenham, who have thrived while blooding the likes of Alli, Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Harry Winks. So the prospect of joining the conveyor belt of talent at White Hart Lane would surely be enticing for Costa.

And it is not as if Tottenham do not need the Wolves man, who has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists for the Championship side this season.

Tottenham need wingers and Costa is a fine example, predominantly operating on the left flank but also able to play on the opposite side.

That he can score and create marks him out as one to watch, and if Arsenal are watching Tottenham really should beat them to the punch.
