The Tottenham Hotspur left-back has not made it on to their 2018 calendar but neither have a lot of his teammates.

Hysteria has a new friend in Twitter and one such example was when it was revealed – through a series of pictures for Tottenham Hotspur’s 2018 calendar courtesy of @lilywhite_rose – that Danny Rose was not one of the 12 players selected.
Cue a tide of tweets declaring that it was the clearest evidence yet that the England international was on his way out of the club, even though he was not the only first-team star to be overlooked.

Rose’s future does remain up in the air after that interview and ongoing links with Manchester United (as reported by the Daily Star) but to take a piece of club merchandise as a clue to the player’s next move is quite a stretch.
After all, is fellow left-back Ben Davies also on the way out after being omitted? How about the resurgent Moussa Sissoko or outsanding new signing Davinson Sanchez?

You would have thought at least one of Tottenham’s new additions would have made it on to a calendar chronicling the next 12 months but no, because there are only 12 months and only 12 choices and Spurs have a lot more players than that.
If Rose does leave Tottenham it will be on chairman Daniel Levy’s terms, with the player’s long-term contract preventing anything else, and we should take nothing more from Rose’s omission as we do from any of the other players that will not be looking down from fans’ walls in the year ahead.
