Talk of Arsenal bringing Thierry Henry back again is a move which simply has to happen.
Cold water has been metaphorically poured on reports that Arsenal are in talks with Thierry Henry, with the player himself declaring no such talks have taken place.
The Gunners legend did however hint that he would be open to such a return, should talks actually materialise.
We are not talking about a permanent return here, but a loan move during the MLS off-season.
Henry came back for a brief spell just like this last season, and his impact was memorable.
He hit a fairytale winner on his return against Leeds in the FA Cup, providing a moment which the supporters lucky enough to be in the stadium will never forget.
He scored another in the club’s 7-1 rout of Blackburn, but his most crucial contribution was his late winner in a 2-1 win away to Sunderland, giving the club two extra points without which they would not have secured third place.
The player who has his own statue outside the Emirates has still got it, even at the age of 34.

The player is keen, all the intricacies of his contract and insurance were successfully negotiated last year, and most importantly he can give the club a huge lift at an important stage of the season.
He would arrive in early January, at a time when most squads are stretched after the gruelling festive schedule, and when others are starting to look at bringing in new players.
The young players can learn from him, and French striker Olivier Giroud would surely love the chance to play alongside his compatriot.
Henry told the Sun today: “I would like to go back to Arsenal for sure. Who knows what might happen in the future?”
He added he would like to go back one day in a coaching capacity, but next year could be the last chance for the player to return in a playing role, and both player and club must make it happen.
It is certainly one for Arsenal fans can look forward to seeing materialise as the season goes on.
