Man United v Leeds TV coverage
Well, the reason for tonight’s game not being shown on TV is due to the fact it’s a rearranged fixture.
The original date for the clash at Old Trafford was Sunday 18th September, although it was postponed following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
It was not chosen to be shown on TV for the original date, and rearranged fixtures must stick to that same broadcasting schedule – as Manchester United have made clear on their official website.
In truth, it comes as a surprise that Manchester United vs Leeds was not selected to be broadcast in the first place.
Last season’s meetings between the two English giants were both chosen, with BT Sport showing Manchester United’s 5-1 win over Leeds at Old Trafford on the opening day, while Sky Sports broadcast the 4-2 win for Ralf Rangnick at Elland Road.
This time around, Leeds will be coming into the fixture without a manager, after Jesse Marsch was given his marching orders on Monday.
The American received his P45 following Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, which left Leeds 17th in the Premier League – only out of the relegation zone on goal difference.
As things stand, Andoni Iraola of Rayo Vallecano is the favourite to replace Marsch – according to Fabrizio Romano.
