Tammy Abraham has been in phenomenal form for Bristol City, but he should not rush back to Chelsea just yet.

The talk of the Championship so far this season in terms of players has been Tammy Abraham. The teenage superstar has been banging in goals left right and center for Bristol City, with many calling him one of the players of the season already. The on-loan forward has been heavily tipped for success upon returning to parent club Chelsea, but he should not rush to re-join his former side just yet.

When you look at this situation from afar, it has alot of similarities to Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian went out on loan and found success, however when he went back to Chelsea things did not go so smoothly for him. Now that is not to say Abraham would not succeed, but given his young age it could prove to be a factor.

Then you have the quality at Stamford Bridge. With a number of high level strikers already on the books at the London club, Antonio Conte is already spoiled for choice in terms of options. Abraham deserves to be playing week in and week out, not every so often in a throwaway League Cup tie.

Plus, just look at the confidence he is getting. Another season at Ashton Gate, whether it is in the second tier or the top flight, will only serve to further improve his momentum given that he is being truly appreciated for his skills there. Right now the pressure is off him, and the second you ship him back up to Chelsea the expectations will rise once again.
