Kyle Lafferty will reportedly leave Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers, and Sunderland should make a move for the Gers forward.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has told Ibrox forward Kyle Lafferty that he has no future at the Gers, according to The Scottish Sun, and Sunderland should make a move for him in the summer transfer window.
Lafferty returned to Rangers in the summer of 2018 when the Gers signed the forward from Heart of Midlothian for a transfer fee reported by The Glasgow Evening Times to be worth £500,000.
The Northern Ireland international failed to make a massive impact at Rangers last season, as he made just six starts and 15 substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership for the Gers, scoring four goals in the process, according to WhoScored.
Lafferty may have struggled in his second spell at Rangers, but the 31-year-old remains a very good forward who would be a good signing for Sunderland in the summer transfer window.
Sunderland had too many draws in League One in England last season, and one of the main reasons for that is their strikers failed to take their chances.
Neither Will Grigg nor Charlie Wyke had a great time in front of goal for Sunderland, while Benjamin Mbunga-Kimpioka is only 19 years of age.
Lafferty is a good targetman who is adept in front of goal, and the Northern Ireland international will have no problem in League One in England if he is given the right service.
