Leeds United have been drawn against Arsenal in the fourth round of the League Cup.

The Yorkshire side announced on their official Twitter account that they will once again travel down to London in the competition. Leeds beat Championship side Fulham on penalties earlier in the week.

It will be the second time Leeds have faced off against Arsenal in a cup competition in as many years, with the Whites facing Mikel Arteta’s Premier League side in January 2020 in the FA Cup.

Indeed, Arsenal were victorious on that night, yet Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds will no doubt be keen to progress to the quarter-finals of the League Cup.

A good run in the competition will paper over the cracks that has been Leeds’ Premier League season so far. The Elland Road side are 17th in the standings, with the Yorkshire club yet to win a game in the division.

Injuries have played their role, though. And Bielsa’s side will bounce back sooner rather than later in the Premier League.
