Samir Nasri has been linked with a move to Nice, while Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are both looking at the French club’s midfielder Jean Seri.
It is safe to say that of all the players to have left Arsenal over the last decade, Samir Nasri is perhaps amongst the most unpopular after comments he made following his move to Manchester City back in 2011, as reported by the Guardian.
Things have, of course, moved on since then – but it appears that Nasri’s next move during this transfer window may potentially have a small impact on the Gunners, and may potentially make him an even bigger villain to their supporters.

According to the Daily Mail, Nice are interested in the 30-year-old this summer.
Given his high wages, it would hardly be a surprise if the midfielder had few options to pick from, thus surely making a return to France seem an appealing one if the terms the right, especially given that Pep Guardiola has no plans to use him in the City side anytime soon, as reported by the Mail.
Should Nasri secure a move to Nice, it would perhaps not be out of the question to suggest that that would make the path slightly clearer for fellow midfielder Jean Seri to move to the Premier League.
The Daily Mail has since suggested that Arsene Wenger is prepared to wait until later in the summer before he makes his move for Seri with other targets taking priority currently – which may potentially hand Spurs an advantage if they move quickly.
And while there is no reason to suggest that one deal will have a direct impact on the other if they even take place, it would surely do little for Nasri’s reputation amongst the Gunners fans if he ended up heading to Nice and that freed up Seri to move on while Arsenal have their pursuit on the back-burner, potentially boosting Tottenham’s hopes of winning the race for the 26-year-old.
