Leeds attacker is set to leave the club.

The timing of the two pieces of major news around Leeds this week suggested they might be connected, but fans should actually take encouragement from the club’s actions.

Midweek it was reported Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani’s company Eleven Sports UK may consider ceasing operations in the country due to a lack of subscribers to the television streaming service.

The Telegraph reported this might potentially have negative financial implications for Leeds United.

Just over 24 hours it emerged that one of Leeds’ most talented, if divisive, players Samu Saiz is set for an exit.

The two do not appear to be linked, fortunately for Leeds.

The biggest clue comes in the form of payment reportedly set to be received by Leeds for Saiz’s departure.

The Yorkshire Evening Post report Leeds are set to loan Saiz to Getafe, ahead of a £6 million transfer next summer.

Its a good fee, double the amount Leeds paid two years ago.

Most importantly the deal demonstrates the Whites are able to be patient before they get their money.

If there were real financial worries and Saiz was being sold off because of it, the Spaniard would be making a permanent exit in January, for a knockdown fee.

Leeds are taking a more relaxed approach, making clear they are selling Saiz begrudgingly at his personal request, and this is no reason to panic.
