While the presence of Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Kevin Wimmer at White Hart Lane means senior chances are at a premium, Carter-Vickers could thrive in the short term at Rangers, getting the regular football he deserves before returning to Tottenham ready to prove his worth under Mauricio Pochettino.
His pace means he would be the perfect partner for Hill, while he could also learn from the veteran Gers defender.
