Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal won against Bournemouth in the Premier League, but a potential injury to Bukayo Saka is bad news, especially ahead of the game against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Arsenal eased past Bournemouth 4-0 away from home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

One of the players who scored for the Gunners was Bukayo Saka.

Saka is one of the best young players in the world and is a regular for Arsenal.

The 22-year-old had yet another good game, but the England international winger did pick up a knock.

Saka limped off the pitch in the second half.

As reported by The Sun, the Englishman could not train in the build-up to the Premier League game against Bournemouth.

Saka was kicked on the foot during the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend and did not play against Brentford in the EFL Cup in midweek.

Arsenal are in UEFA Champions League action in midweek and will face Manchester City in the Premier League next weekend.

Criticism for Mikel Arteta regarding Bukayo Saka

Former Arsenal player and talkSPORT pundit Perry Groves has criticised Gunners manager Mikel Arteta for not taking off Saka when the match was effectively finished as a contest earlier in the second half.

Groves said on talkSPORT: “Saka goes in for a tackle.

“I think it was Lewis Cook, and then, it’s the same injury where he got kicked obviously before.

“But he shouldn’t have been on the pitch.

“All Arsenal fans that are there are thinking, ‘Why’?”

Bukayo Saka a big player for Arsenal

Bukayo Saka is one of the best and most important players for Arsenal.

I think that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta needs to think carefully about how to use the 22-year-old in the coming weeks.

Yes, Saka is young and has a lot of energy, and as a footballer, he will surely want to play all the time.

But, it is important that Arteta manages the playing time for the England international now to make sure that he is fit in the long run.
