Benjamin Pavard has drawn attention to himself at the World Cup, and Tottenham Hotspur should really be getting to the front of the queue.

It has been reported recently by Corriere dello Sport that Tottenham Hotspur had tabled an official bid for Pavard, and Spurs definitely have need to sign the Stuttgart defender.
Every Love Island contestant if they were an England international: World Cup!
Pavard has been deployed by Didier Deschamps at right-back throughout the tournament so far, where he has impressed even though he is a natural centre-back.

His outstanding goal against Argentina rightfully drew the spotlight towards him, but Pavard has shown he is an accomplished defender first and foremost, despite a nervy first game against Australia.
If Tottenham’s interest in the player is real, they should make sure their rivals do not beat them to his signing because he could be the perfect fit.
Toby Alderweireld’s links to Manchester United do not appear to be going away any time soon and it would be great for Spurs to sign somebody who is much younger but still with fantastic ability.

The fact that Pavard has shown he can play right-back too has to be encouraging, with Serge Aurier having shown last season that he can be extremely rash at times. Pavard would be great back up for Kieran Trippier, who will be a nailed on starter for Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino after his own showing in Russia.
Pochettino is known for his ability to develop younger players, as evidenced by the likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Harry Winks and Davinson Sanchez, so Pavard and Tottenham could be a match made in heaven.
