Numerous NFL players are protesting for their respective franchise owners to invest in their health and lay down grass fields.
If you have been on social media over recent days, you will have likely seen a number of NFL players back the #WorthTheCost movement.
The protest is growing among NFL players as they demand their health and wellbeing is put first over the finances involved in installing and maintaining grass playing fields.
It has been no secret that a lot of NFL players believe the artificial surfaces at half of the stadiums across the league contribute considerably to the number of serious ligament injuries suffered.
As the movement continues to grow, Pat McAfee has shared just what he has enjoyed about the demand from those NFL players in question.

Jerry Jones does not want the Dallas Cowboys playing on grass as he has already admitted it is not a cost-effective option for him.
However, the players are asking their owners to put their health above the cost of installing and maintaining the grass surface.
“I like the movement that we’re going with this particular time. Acknowledging that it’s going to cost money to flip over the stadiums from turf to grass, acknowledging that, yes, this is going to have to be an investment of some sort for you guys, as opposed to just saying, “Give us grass; it’s for our health.” said McAfee.
“There is a lot of money going into these players and into these rosters. So at what point does it become cost-effective to roll the dice with literally hundreds of millions of dollars of assets on something that you can control and can change?”
A report from Sportico has claimed a grass surface costs in the region of $300k-$500k and that field may need to be replaced once or twice during the NFL season.
Undoubtedly, it is a big additional cost that the owners would need to pay each season, but is it that big of a cost in comparison to the investment made on their respective players?
Take Dak Prescott, for example, Jones is unwilling to lay down grass at AT&T Stadium, but he pays his quarterback $60 million per year.
‘Prescott has been no stranger to injuries over his career, yet Jones is willing to risk his star players’ health by not investing in a grass surface.
Caleb Williams, Jonathan Taylor and Travis Kelce have demanded the NFL implements grass fields among a host of other names.
This is not a matter that appears to be going away any time soon.
