Clinton Morrison has said on Sky Sports News (1:43pm, April 24, 2021) that Nuno would be a wonderful managerial appointment for Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Crystal Palace and Birmingham City forward believes that Nuno has done a brilliant job at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Sky Sports pundit – who is actually a Spurs fan – has said that Nuno is an excellent manager, and is not surprised that Tottenham are interested in the 47-year-old Portuguese.
The Express reported earlier this month that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is looking at Nuno as a possible permanent successor to Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese has ruled out leaving Wolves this summer, as quoted in The Sun.
Morrison said on Sky Sports News (1:43pm, April 24, 2021) when asked about Nuno to Spurs speculation: “Yeah, why not? He is a brilliant manager. I think he has done a terrific job at Wolves. Nuno has been excellent.”
Nuno to Tottenham Hotspur?
Nuno has done a brilliant job at Wolves. The 47-year-old guided the Wanderers to promotion from the Championship, and the club also played in the Europa League under him.
True, this season has been tough for the Wanderers, but every club has bad times, and Wolves are no different.
Ryan Mason is in charge of Spurs until the end of the season, and it is hard to see Levy give him the managerial job on a permanent basis.
Nuno has done well at Wolves, comes across as a very considerate and thoughtful person in his interviews, and knows the Premier League well.
A move for the Wolves boss would not be a bad idea for Spurs, who are still in the hunt for the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season.
