The Manchester City hitman would offer Tottenham Hotspur a different option in forward areas.

Spurs have enjoyed a fine campaign on the whole this season, despite their title charge ultimately ending in failure, but Mauricio Pochettino must sufficiently strengthen his options throughout the course of the summer transfer window, if his side are to contend for major honours on a more consistent basis.
One particular area of the Argentine’s squad that needs particular attention is the forward department, and more specifically, the addition of an able back-up to Harry Kane will surely feature highly on his wish-list.
Vincent Janssen has really struggled during his first season in English football, and whilst he deserves a little more time in which to prove himself, it could be argued that he is quite clearly not cut-out for the robust nature of the Premier League.
With this in mind, an interesting option for Tottenham could be Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho, with ESPN reporting that he could be on the list of players who Pep Guardiola will allow to leave the Etihad this summer.
The 20-year-old Nigerian has played a peripheral role in the Citizen’s 2016/17 campaign, making just eight starts in all competitions for Guardiola’s men thus far.
With his future in Manchester uncertain to say the least, the Lilywhites should look to pounce, and make a summer offer for the pacey forward.

Despite his tender years, Iheanacho has plenty of experience of playing in the Premier League, and given the opportunity of working under Pochettino, he could reach higher levels, and become one of the league’s best strikers.
Initially he would have to serve as Kane’s understudy, but he would also provide the Spurs boss with the option of playing two up front, should he so wish.
The City man can also operate in the wide attacking areas, which would be useful for Tottenham, what with Erik Lamela’s ongoing injury woes.
Whether or not Guardiola would allow the 20-year-old to move to one of City’s rivals remains to be seem, but the north London outfit should make a strong push for him nevertheless.
