Manchester United’s summer signings have made a good early impression, but there is still plenty more to come from this group under Ruben Amorim.

INEOS put together a solid transfer window, with each new arrival bringing something different to the table.

In particular, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha stood out as exciting additions. Both were among the Premier League’s top performers last season, and they are expected to add real quality to Amorim’s squad.

Alongside those ready-made additions, United also looked ahead. Senne Lammens and Benjamin Sesko are seen as long-term prospects with the potential to develop into top players in their positions.

In addition, the Red Devils brought in Diego Leon from Cerro Porteno for £3.2 million. At just 18 years old, he is another one earmarked for future development rather than immediate impact.

It seems like a long time ago that Leon, while waiting for his flight in Paraguay, expressed his intention to make an immediate impact at Old Trafford.

The young left-back made a good impression during training and got decent minutes throughout the summer tour. He even picked up an assist against Bournemouth in the US but has not played for the first team since then.

Still, BBC Sport’s Simon Stone says that Leon is still with the first team at Carrington. Despite some expectations that he would be playing with the U21s by now, Amorim has kept him involved with the senior group.

The Red Devils see this as a positive move, giving Leon valuable experience at such a young age. It also signals that Amorim rates him highly enough to keep him close to the main squad rather than sending him down to youth level.

Diego Leon has made a huge impression at Manchester United

Even though he arrived with little English and a lot to adjust to, Leon has managed to turn heads from the start.

Kobbie Mainoo was quick to mention how strong Leon looked when describing his early days at the club.

Manuel Ugarte also weighed in, reminding supporters that Leon is not only adapting to a new league, but also navigating major cultural changes off the pitch.

The defender’s popularity has grown quickly inside Carrington. He has become a familiar face around the club, earning respect from teammates and staff alike.

Amorim’s approval could open doors sooner rather than later. If Patrick Dorgu continues to struggle, we might see Leon make his debut in the near future.
