For those who are yet to hear of this young talent, the one to watch out for this season is Liam Walsh, a highly-rated midfielder who has recently signed a new contract keeping him at Goodison Park until June 2019.
The 19-year-old has been of the Blues’ stand out players for the Under-23s, scoring some impressive goals. Walsh has already trained with the first team squad after consistently impressing with his mature performances, and he made 17 appearances on loan for League Two side Yeovil Town last season.

“I think he was outstanding,” Unsworth is quoted as telling the Echo. “I thought he was the best player on the pitch. He ran the game and he was all action.
“Liam is certainly going in the right direction towards our first team.”
Koeman should have every intention of allowing youngsters to breakthrough into the squad, with Everton’s fringe players failing to perform recently, the Dutchman should be looking at Walsh in particular. If the midfielder continues to shine for the u-23s, it will be hard for Koeman to ignore the young talent.
