Leeds United missed out on signing a winger at the transfer deadline.

Leeds United missed out on signing a winger on deadline day, failing in their pursuit of Dan James, Sky Sports reported.
It is not too late to add a replacement as a free agent, and one name stands out.
Former Fulham winger Alexander Kacaniklic is without a club after mutually terminating his deal with Nantes in December, Swedish website Expressen report.
Kacaniklic, 27, spent three years in Liverpool’s academy between 2007 and 2010 before leaving for Fulham where he established himself as a first team player.
He went on to make 100 appearances for Fulham in the Premier League and Championship, also enjoying loan spells at Burnley and Watford.
He signed with Nantes in 2016 and the move did not work out. He fell out of favour after making just 31 appearances in his first two seasons, and after not being picked once this campaign he was released from his contract.

At 27, Kacaniklic is far from over the hill and has a point to prove.
He is an ideal player for Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa to bring in to see if he can make an impact.
The former Sweden international plays on the wing and can play centrally too, and would give Leeds experience and a new option.
Swedish website Aftonbladet reported last week he was attracting interest from club in Turkey and Hammarby in his homeland.
Leeds should explore the possibility of signing him while they can.
