Leeds United are still looking for a replacement for Garry Monk, following his departure from Elland Road.

Leeds United’s managerial search does not appear to be about to end any time soon, with the Elland Road crowd still in the darkness over who will take over from Garry Monk.
Monk handed in his resignation at Leeds nearly a fortnight ago, but the Whites still haven’t come close to appointing their next manager.
Indeed, two of the early favourites for the job, Aitor Karanka and Pep Clotet, have recently been ruled out.

It means that Leeds’ next appointment could come from left-field, and a potential option could be Frank De Boer.
De Boer has been patiently waiting for a new job, since his departure from Inter last year.
The Dutch manager was linked with the vacant post at Glasgow Rangers in February, but he suggested that he did not want to take over in mid-season.
“Right now I am just taking a break and just looking more for next season and hopefully to start in pre-season, not to start in the middle of the season,” he said to Sky Sports, a few months ago.

“It’s a long time that I have [been able to have] a break because when I was 14 I started to play for Ajax and when I quit my career I started directly to be a coach, first youth and then as a head coach.
“It is my first time in almost 32 years that I’ve had a break for two or three months so I am enjoying that.”
Of course, if De Boer was to move to Leeds he would have the whole summer to prepare and that could appeal.
De Boer speaks English fluently, following his spell with Rangers as a player, and has an impressive CV as a manager.
De Boer did a wonderful job during his six year spell at Ajax, and although his time at Inter didn’t go to plan – his arrival at Leeds would be a serious statement of intent for the Yorkshire club.
Leeds are under pressure to show ambition with their next managerial appointment, as so many supporters wanted Monk to stay.
But De Boer’s arrival may help to soften that blow, and bring back some optimism around Elland Road for the upcoming campaign.
