Leeds United are known to be on the look out for a new defender this summer.

According to the Express and Star, Bournemouth are looking for just £1 million for Marc Wilson and that should put him on Leeds United’s radar.

The Cherries have decided that Wilson is available for a relatively small fee, after deeming him surplus to requirements.

Wilson spent last campaign out on loan at West Bromwich Albion, and Eddie Howe has decided that there is no way back for the 29-year-old.

West Brom are now said to be interested in bringing Wilson back to the Hawthorns, but Leeds should make a move for the Republic of Ireland international.

Thomas Christiansen’s side are on the hunt for new defenders, with their current options at the back short.

Leeds have just three central defenders in their squad, despite the recent addition of Matthew Pennington, and Christiansen is known to want another addition at the back.

Wilson has the capabilities to play anywhere across the defence, and would bring a sizeable amount of quality to Elland Road.

Wilson has established himself as a solid Premier League player over the course of his career, and he would be a stand out option in the Championship.

With the market inflated, Wilson seems to offer great value for money, and Leeds would be wise to make him an offer in the coming weeks.
