Kylian Mbappe’s reported move to Al Hilal has seemingly sent shockwaves through the world of football, with a reported offer of £600 million a year on the table from the mega-rich Middle East, but the Premier League are concerned.
According to a report from Mike Keegan of the Daily Mail, there is concern from a few of the Premier League’s top clubs that their star players may well demand a significant hike in their current salaries.
This comes as a number of clubs from the Middle East have lured a number of Premier League players to the Saudi Pro League, with N’Golo Kante, Alex Telles, and Eduoard Mendy being a few of the names lured to the division.
The report states that the potential deal to take the French striker to the division on a reported £3 million a week would be a ‘disrupter’ and lead to a host of Premier League stars following in his footsteps or demanding a similar pay if he were to choose to make the move to Al-Hilal.
Real Madrid still likely
According to the same report, however, Real Madrid still seems the likely destination for the 24-year-old and there is a feeling that Mbappe is using the offer made by Al-Hilal as a way to make Madrid pay up.
The forward has just one year remaining on his contract, with rumours circulating that the player may sign a one-year deal with the Saudi side and earn a shed load of cash before moving to Madrid, anyway.

If Mbappe did make the move, it would open up a whole can of worms. “So far most of those who have gone to Saudi have been close to their final deal.” an insider reportedly told the Mail. “But if Mbappe, one of the best players in the world, goes during his peak years, all bets are off.
For now, it remains to be seen whether the Frenchman would agree to move, but if he did, then this would potentially send shockwaves through the Premier League.
