Despite many people tipping Kenny Jackett for success at Rotherham United, it is still fairly uncharted territory for the new manager.
One of the many reasons why Rotherham United fans have been positive about Kenny Jackett’s appointment is his experience. Over the course of his career he has taken charge of clubs in similar positions, or so those supporters would have you believe.
The problem is, the turbulent nature of the task at hand is not exactly Jackett’s trademark. When accepting the jobs at places like Wolves, it was a case of rebuilding them from the ground up whereas the mission for the Millers is survival.

The pressure on him to pull this off is very different to how he has gone about his business at previous clubs. Whilst the stage may be the same, Jackett is very much being thrown in at the deep end. With results still looking slightly worrying, it does beg the question of whether or not he has bitten off more than he can chew.
There are certainly the players in place to turn things round at the New York Stadium, but bringing that confidence back to the Millers will be difficult and Jackett has never seemed like the most inspiring manager in the world. Time will tell.
