Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been raving over the performance of Emerson Royal on Wednesday evening.
Spurs faced Burnley in the Carabao Cup this week, and while Tottenham came out victorious, this wasn’t a straightforward affair for the north London outfit.
Indeed, Spurs only won 1-0, and they were put under plenty of pressure by the Clarets throughout the match.
In the end though, Spurs’ quality proved too much for the Lancashire outfit and Emerson Royal was undoubtedly one of their key performers.
The Brazilian assisted Lucas Moura for the opening goal of the game while fans were quick to give him plaudits for his solid defensive showing.
Emerson hasn’t had the easiest start to life at Spurs, but this game was undoubtedly one of the best performances he’s put in since arriving in England.
