Gareth Bale has told BBC Sport that he came to Tottenham because he wanted to play alongside Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son.
Spurs put four past a helpless Burnley today, with Bale scoring a brace and supplying an assist all inside 70 minutes of work.
For months now, Spurs have been crying out for Son, Kane and Bale to sing and dance on the Premier League stage.
Well, they get their entertainments worth in bucket loads on Sunday afternoon.
After the game, Bale shared what it’s like playing with Tottenham’s deadly duo upfront.
“Playing with them is why I came here and what I wanted to do,” said Bale.
“It’s great to be on the pitch and feeling good, hopefully, we can kick on from this and get some confidence.
“We know football isn’t fair sometimes and people will criticise but all we can do inside is keep going, and we showed that today.”
It has been a rocky ride for the left-footed Welshman ever since he returned from Madrid in the summer.
But it’s fair to say that during these past few weeks, he is starting to showcase the Bale of old.
And for Tottenham, it’s seemingly coming just in time because they are entering a crucial period both in domestically and in Europe.
