Huddersfield seem to have moved ahead in the race to sign Barnsley’s Andy Yiadom as Swansea turn attention to Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson.
It looks like Huddersfield Town have moved to the front of the queue to sign Andy Yiadom from Barnsley after the Huddersfield Examiner reported the Premier League club are prepared to pay the £2m asking price.
That is because their main rivals for the 24-year-old’s signature, Swansea City, have moved their attention to Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson instead – according to the Express.

With the Swans now targeting Jenkinson as a new right-back, the Terriers – who have already had bids of £1m and £1.5m rejected by the Tykes – look to be favourites to sign Yiadom.
Barnsley manager Paul Heckingbottom has already admitted to the Yorkshire Post that the Ghana international has rejected a new bumper contract to make him one of the highest paid players at the club, having entered the final year of his current deal at Oakwell.
The Yorkshire outfit appeared to have been further preparing for life without Yiadom when they confirmed the signing of fellow full-back Matty Pearson from Accrington Stanley on Friday (August 4).
The Huddersfield target attracted interest from the Premier League following his impressive performances in the Championship last season after a 2016 move from Barnet.
