Tottenham Hotspur are said to be considering moving for Hakim Ziyech of Ajax.

It is strange why Tottenham Hotspur’s links with Hakim Ziyech have gone quiet, as they search for a new playmaker to potentially replace Christian Eriksen.
Spurs have been linked with both Bruno Fernandes and Giovani Lo Celso this summer, but the pair are proving to be very expensive.
Ziyech, on the other hand, was said to be interesting Tottenham earlier this summer, with Ajax prepared to accept £40 million.
That seems rather odd, as Tottenham have started to step up their search for a new attacking midfielder even more since Eriksen hinted that he could leave.
While Eriksen has not departed yet, and may still stay, Spurs certainy do appear to have a playmaker on their wishlist and Ziyech is one of the leading talents in that position across Europe.

The Moroccan scored 21 goals and claimed 24 assists for Ajax last term in what was a remarkable season.
Indeed, Ajax director of football and Arsenal legend Marc Overmans recently suggested he was even better than Mesut Ozil.
“I am a bit surprised that it is still so quiet around Hakim,” Overmars said to Voetbal International.
“I think he has played better every year and his statistics are exceptionally good. Many clubs are increasingly looking at that.
“They look more at the numbers than at what he shows and what is happening around him. I think Hakim Ziyech is better than Mesut Ozil.”
Spurs should now seriously consider re-igniting their interest in Ziyech, as he looks to be one of the best value for money signings in an inflated market this summer.
