Adding another veteran to their group would not be advisable, and it would also be hard to see exactly where Sagna would fit in.
Everton already have Seamus Coleman available to them, and he is a superior right-back to Sagna – meaning there would be no way for the 34-year-old to break into Koeman’s line-up.
It makes the transfer links very hard to believe, and it would surely be one of the most bizarre moves of the summer if Everton do go through with it.
