Everton should make Celtic’s Kieran Tierney one of their top summer targets.

The Daily Record suggest that Celtic’s Kieran Tierney is available for £20 million and that makes him look a much better buy than Luke Shaw for Everton.

The Toffees have been linked with both left-backs, as Sam Allardyce looks to improve his side’s defence.

A left-sided defender is expected to be high on Everton’s list of priorities for the summer, as it has been a problem position for them this term.

And if Everton have to narrow it down to one target, then Celtic’s Tierney is starting to look like the better buy.

Luke Shaw is said to be valued at £28 million by The Sun, which makes him considerably more expensive than Tierney, and the upside of buying the Celtic man could be far greater.

Tierney may not have the same Premier League experience as Shaw, but he is younger and arguably has a higher level of potential.

Shaw has been criticised over his fitness by multiple United managers, and although he is a talent, that must be a concern for any buying club.

And Everton should steer well clear go for Tierney instead, if they can land the Celtic youngster for a cheaper price.
