The Colombia international could do a job at Everton.
A recent report from the Liverpool Echo revealed that Everton will start looking to South America for future players, and if they want to get started sooner rather than later they would be wise to cast their eye over soon-to-be free agent Dorlan Pabon.
The 29-year-old currently plays for Monterrey in Mexico, but with his contract coming to an end this summer he may be a savvy addition to Ronald Koeman’s improving squad.
Predominantly a centre forward, the Colombia international can also operate on either wing if required, and his 55 goals and 28 assists in 109 matches for Monterey show his ability in the box as well as his knack of creating for others.
He has scored goals wherever he has been and for nothing more than a signing-on fee Everton would be signing an experienced attacker who can act as both an alternative to and a partner for Romelu Lukaku.
Versatile front men with impressive scoring records are hard to find but Pabon is one of them and it will be interesting to see if Everton’s director of football Steve Walsh makes a move for a player unlikely to be out of contract for long.
