Everton have been linked with a move for the Manchester United youngster.

According to a recent report from Calcio Mercato, Everton are interested in signing Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah, but the Toffees can surely forget about bringing the talented Dutchman to Goodison Park in a permanent deal.
While the 19-year-old has struggled for game time at Old Trafford so far this season, that is no indication of his talent.
If anything, the versatile player broke through earlier than expected under former United manager Louis van Gaal, and this season he is continuing his development on the training field while featuring seven times in all competitions for the senior side.
United manager Jose Mourinho will be well aware what a talent he has at his disposal, and while it may be a year or two before Fosu-Mensah becomes an integral part of the team, that time will come.
While he has featured predominantly as a full-back for United thus far, he is likely to grow into a centre-back or a holding midfielder, and it is in the latter position that he could really excel at Old Trafford, such is his physique and confidence on the ball.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman will know just how good his countryman is, but having only recently put pen to paper on a new long-term deal, Fosu-Mensah is going nowhere.

Everton would be signing a true gem if they can somehow convince United to do business. He is the real deal; a teenager who is not just a flash in the pan like Paddy McNair or Tyler Blackett but a youngster with real quality who in time will star for both club and country.
Everton’s scouting network would not be doing their job if they overlooked Fosu-Mensah’s current situation. However the Toffees will surely be left disappointed if they do make a bid in due course.
