Both Everton and West Ham have been linked with recently sacked Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti but there could be a problem.

Pressure is mounting on Everton manager Ronald Koeman following a 1-0 home defeat to Burnley in the Premier League and according to Skybet the Dutchman is now the 1/3 favourite to be sacked next in the English top tier.

Next on the list is Slaven Bilic, who has turned things around somewhat for West Ham United in recent times but is still believed to be on the verge of getting the boot by the East London club’s hierarchy.

In both cases recently sacked Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti is rumoured to be in line to take over, with the same bookmakers saying he is the 6/1 favourite to take charge at Goodison Park and the same odds to succeed Bilic with the Hammers.

Yet Ancelotti himself has put an end to that speculation, well for the next 10 months at least, as the Italian reveals he is taking a break from football.

“For the next 10 months I will rest, so no other teams,” the 58-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

It means that if the Toffees or West Ham do sack their manager before the end of the season then Ancelotti will not be available to take over.
