Leeds United should give Jefferson Montero a wide berth.

Leeds United already have one Hadi Sacko-type player on its books in, well, Hadi Sacko – and they don’t need another.
But according to reports, they’re interested in signing one nonetheless.
The print edition of The Sun on Sunday reported that Leeds want Swansea City’s Jefferson Montero on loan this month.
The Ecuador international has bags of pace, but no end product and if that sounds familiar to United fans it’s probably because the same description fits Sacko, who was loaned to Las Palmas in Spain’s second division in July.
Sacko, who joined Leeds in 2016, has shown the odd glimpse of potential here and there but it became increasingly obvious that blistering speed wouldn’t compensate for other glaring deficiencies.
And if Bielsa deemed that the Frenchman wasn’t good enough for the Whites then it seems odd that he would back his club’s pursuit of a left-sided version of the same jet-heeled, but limited player.
Montero, who has five assists from his last 48 games for City, hasn’t started a Championship game this season, with all 11 appearances coming off the bench.
If he’s barely good enough for City then how could he be good enough for a team that are 17 points and 12 places ahead of them in the Championship?
